| Bedfont's No Smoking Alarm is a compact, self-contained tobacco smoke detection system, designed to control smoking in unauthorised areas. When a device is activated a number of alarm options are available: |

- A voice message from the detector's built-in sounder announces “This is a no-smoking area, please extinguish your cigarette”
- The same message is broadcast, followed by the announcement that a member of staff has been contacted
- For applications such as schools and colleges, the voice alarm can be turned off and staff alerted visually via a control panel or pager

| Two versions of the sensor are available, a ‘smoke/gas' detector for internal applications, and a match or cigarette lighter ‘flame detector' for use internally or in semi-exposed areas where fumes and vapours are normally present. Both products are available as a battery powered, stand-alone unit, to provide immediate protection and ease of installation. |
| Larger areas can be protected using ‘slave' detectors, which are powered and controlled by the ‘master' and may include a mixture of flame and smoke detectors in order to provide optimum protection and speed of response. A complete range of accessories are available, enabling the system to be mains powered, give a remote hardwired or wireless alarm, or enhanced protection from vandalism. |
